Marketplace rules - How to Buy Swap and Sell on AB.C

Post by Steven »

The Bonsai Marketplace is a free community resource with the sole aim of promoting activity and encouraging the sale of good quality material so that our art is progressively improved.

You must have made a minimum of 50 posts on AusBonsai before you are able to advertise.

Members who use this section must do so responsibly and play by the following rules.

1. Bonsai related items only
Keep postings limited to Bonsai, bonsai pots, stock trees, seeds, tools, stands, books etc.

2. Prefix
Each thread must be prefixed with [WANTED], [SELL], [SOLD] or [TRADE] at the beginning of the Subject title. This will help clearly display what is happening with the item, and hopefully make browsing the forum easier.
Once the item has successfully been sold, the seller is to make a clear and concise post stating that the item has sold. The prefix will then be edited by a Moderator to read [SOLD].

3. Individuals only
The Bonsai Marketplace is for use by individuals, not commercial enterprises.

4. No linking to eBay or similar sites
Posts directing users to third party sales or auction sites like eBay are not permitted and will be deleted.

5. No critique
There is to be NO critique of a bonsai that is offered for sale!

6. AusBonsai veto power
We reserve the right to edit or remove postings and/or photos at our discretion.

7. Pricing in Australian dollars only
Each listing must include a price. List your price in Aussie dollars only.

8. Keep it legal
No illegal activities and no stolen stuff. Suspicious items will be investigated and the authorities alerted.

9. Live up to your end of the deal
Both parties to a trade of any description should use best efforts to ensure they fully complete their side of a transaction.

10. No group buys
Group buying or syndicates are not permitted. This is to protect the Nurserymen and women who rely on sales for their livelihood.

11. No noxious weeds
You must not offer for sale any noxious weeds as listed at http://www.weeds.org.au/noxious.htm .

12. Maximum 3 bumps
No excessive bumping of your post. This means blatant AND covert bumping!

The fine print...
AusBonsai.com.au including its Administrators and Moderators (AB.C) is not responsible for anything bought, sold or traded, or the transactions / dealings between involved parties. We do not administer, govern, or influence these relationships in any way.

AB.C will not be held responsible for any failure of transaction, dispute or mishandling of any item between the buyer and the seller. By using the Bonsai Marketplace you agree to Buy, Sell or Swap at your own risk.

Remember to always trade safely and with integrity.
