Hey all. Got this apple tree from a friend. They didn't want it anymore so we pulled it out with the tractor and here it is.

Apple trees need to be large, proportionate to the fruit size. Be aware of that while styling. Good score, not many great Apple tree Bonsai around.

It will survive for sure.

It has some reverse taper but that may grow out with a good root prune and ground growing for 2 years.

You also need to cut the left branch off, the right branch off and the top down to about 75mm from the bend (first bend from the ground up that is). That is where your tree is. (going by the second pic)

Yeh lots of seasol or worm juice in my case then ill ponder on it. Not great stock i know but hopefully another 20 years something will come if it survives. :fc:

Will be nice where fruiting. Need space for fruits to hang. Don't make it too low.

That's an awesome looking bonsai. I have one I grew from seed I hope it looks like that in a few years.
