Here is an update of this little juniper.

Can't quite pick the front and still letting it recover a little after another fairly heavy pruning.

Image
As it was after recovering from the initial heavy pruning.

Image
Still trying to work out the proper front and as a result the positioning of the lowest RH branch. I have to leave it alone for a bit as I've changed it's location 3 or 4 times. I'll kill it if I keep at it!

Comments welcomed as always.

Will take some extra pics tomorrow of alternative fronts.

Quick update on this little juniper.

It has grown really well over the summer and is filling out quite nicely. Gave it a bit of a tidy up and thought I would share the progress.

I'm still looking for a pot for this tree so all you awesome Aussie potters out there, if you have something that fits the bill (preferably round cos I'm having trouble picking the exact front), send me a PM or post your suggestions here.

Comments always welcome.

Time for an update.

Finally got this into my Adelaide Bonsai Pottery pot (thanks Luke) today.

Had a bit of a setback with a couple of branches that decided they didn't want to live anymore. They had been showing signs for a few months, so off they came, well partly.

If they stay as jins or go is a decision for another time.

Here are the before, during and after pics.

Will let it settle into its new home before it gets a wiring and a tidy up. I'm quite pleased with how this one has progressed.

Comments always welcome.

Hi Theo, just saw this post. Tree is looking good - I love the movement this juniper has. Glad I could help with the pot.
Cheers, Luke.

Well it's been a long while since I've updated this tree.

Since the last post it's grown well and filled out nicely. Joe also helped me with it at a club workshop last April from memory.

Anyway, here are a few pics.

I'm certainly no photographer, but I'm pleased with how this one is progressing.

Hi Theodore,
I love the movement and taper in that trunk - you should be happy with how it’s progressing. Sometimes junipers look a bit same, same (to me) but this is a really intriguing juniper. Thanks for posting an update.

Hi Theodore, that is a very smart conifer/style you have got it to, a real Penjing style/feel to it with the negari exposed roots, I like it indeed, you and Joe make a very good partnership, stick with him.

i like the pot too

cheers Anthony
