Some of my trees and setup
Been awhile since I posted anything and since it was cooler and raining at my place yestaday I thought id do some long overdue bonsai work. This time of year the trees pretty much live under shade cloth and the auto watering system dumps twice a day on them . apart from making sure the watering is working I haven't touched a tree for 2 months . Here is what some are looking like as of yestaday.
shohin willow leaf that was at the national bonsai collection last year airlayed shohin chinese elm separated 2 years now

Hi Matthew , very very inspirational , that's what i call a well balanced collection , If Only I could part with 90% of my raw material I might just be able to manage a half decent collection myself .
Mate you need to come along and join our club , I'm sure you would contribute considerably and its a nice drive once a Month
Cheers . Alpine

cheers mate thanks for the kind words . Yes I should get affiliated with a club to spark some interest again . I kind of lose some motivation sometimes with them then one day ill say hell I got to do some tree work and finally get to do something. some of these airlayers ive been telling myself to do for 3 years or more . I have several more I want to layer on elms, trident maples and a zelcova that annoys me . Ive learnt to down size last 7 years and now have about 60 trees and a few in the ground etc. I am on the lookout for a decent satsuki azealea and the last 5 years have started growing a 40 or so in the ground hoping one might make the cut .PM me some info on the club if you get time .

Love the Shohin elm/pot combo Matthew. Your collection is wonderful and, for not having touched them for a couple of months, i understand completely. Lost inspiration is always a stumbling block especially when you have a property to look after. Go through the
"Gonna flog them all off" stage once or twice a year myself but we get over it.
