Thanks guys for the comments. The area is still expanding I have like 20% free bench place to fill one day . Leigh came over yestaday and dropped off 3 trees that had been at the collection for 2 years . Time flies I swear it was only one. I cannot recommend enough that if you get a opportunity to have your trees on display there please do as mine always come back in better health etc than when they left. two others have left for a holiday and i'm looking forward to hopfully seeing them again in March. Again fantastic work Leigh and his team do. :tu:

The other 2 trees that spent two years in Canberra just back . The mugo was originally grown by Lindsay Farr and anyone who has had the experience of buying trees off Lindsey knows it can be challenging . I always loved Mugos and wanted one.
The premma like all mine came from maitland near Newscastle . The tree itself is fused on the top of the rock and the roots extend the full length giving stability . I only ever see this species around this area and Newcastle . I enjoy working them.

Nice Matthew,
I don't own a mugo - but wish I did.
Curious now as to why the LF legend is so challenging to purchase from?
Oh Yeah, I see it's someone's special day! Happy Birthday!

Cheers Almost 40 now how the time flies but still a spring chicken I guess. Mugo are fantastic to work with however they do need a cool/cold winter period really to keep them in good health. I don't know to many be grown outside the blue mountain , coastal region of southern NSW ?
Lindsey is a character for sure and part of his charm. Like everyone I guess some trees you get attached to , even the ones marked for sale.

Hi Matt
Wow, the transformation since you have been there is amazing. Great job on the garden, that is coming from someone who designed and built landscapes for a living for the better part of a decade. If I had a time machine and better cashflow, you would be hired :tu:

We have to catch up soon :fc:

Cheers,
Mojo

Update , I managed to get some weeding and pruning done. Only a few elms and maples are still holding foliage the rest have gone to sleep . Hoping to do alittle fig thinning out this weekend preparing there bed for winter . The two willowleafs I had got badly damaged in two -7 last winter so this winter they will spend some time inside . I reckon it set them back 3-4 years :(

The black pine on the right will get a new pot this year and ill try to hide that ugly root on the right . Pine on the left needs a complete wire one day

the large formal deodar cedar needs a wiring but that's a full day. its also overdue for a repot . The bark on it is something special . its been container grown all its life

Would love to see these after you get around to doing the work on them, they look great! I also like the pine in the background to the left, it looks to have a pretty nice base on it too!

Very impressive collection on the whole - thanks for giving us another look.

That pine has been recently sold and is going to a good home. I dug that out of the ground for Cambewarra bonsai many years ago when they were operating and they gave it to me for my hard work :D
