Shimpaku are a long term project, I’m sure the vision will develop as the trees do but I like the dynamic you’re creating.
Shimpaku are definitely a long term project; every aspect takes time and patience; leave plenty of foliage to encourage regaining of health and encourage surface roots to thicken and age. Allow wire to stay on long enough to do its job as well, don’t panic if the wire bites in a bit; the scarring fills out very quickly once the shape is set.
