Yes Pup, definately. What a ripper of a tree - imagine the stories it could tell, Any idea of approximate age. I saw one along these lines this morning.

Going by the development of this area and asking questions, of similar trees and after counting the rings on one of mine from this area which had 2 years ago, 97 rings of growth.
I would put this one close to 300 years. Give or take there are quite a number like this in my area, even in peoples yards and the public parks .
Although the larrikins periodically try to burn them down so far we are lucky with what is left.
