This interesting article appeared on the ABC website yesterday. I wasn't aware of these SA Bluegum subspecies but if you're In the SE of SA then hunt them down and please post pictures!

Hi Matt,
Also sold under the horticultural name "rosea" it seems http://anpsa.org.au/e-leu.html. If that is the case, there may be some planted near me, so will go and take a look. Probably not going to be as dramatic as those in the story but we'll see. Should also be Eucalyptus leucoxylon leucoxylon close by as a comparison.
