Ficus Maximus...

Postby The Munt » March 18th, 2018, 10:09 pm

The monkey forest in central Bali (Ubud) was stunning, I went there to see monkeys but instead was absolutely awe stricken by a clearly several thousand year old forest full of figs (Banyans as the locals call them) that reached up forever and had some of the most impressive root structures, ROR and gravity defying aerial roots i’ve ever seen, as always the photos don’t do it real justice but I spent a long time just walking around saying wow...

No problem Bodhidharma, i had a bit of a moment to be honest where i tried to imagine the clock winding back thousands of years and the trees shrank all around me, generations dying and being born in reverse it really puts it into perspective.. i walked away feeling pretty humbled indeed. :tu:
