Split trunk

Post by quodlibet_ens »

I saw this on Instagram and was caught by the split trunk this tree has.

Would the trunk on the left still be viewed as having 'reverse taper' though?Image

Yes Q.
Unfortunately it would.
The image however is striking and tells a fantastic story.
All trademarks of a good bonsai?
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful
