Ficus microcarpa 'Green Island fig'

I have several of these trees and am unsure of how to proceed growing and shaping them. Any ideas?

Hi Bonsai_Madness, I too have couple of these grown from cuttings. I too am perplexed with them.
I have chosen to give them rein for a while and see what happens. They are very forgiving which is a bonus.
Great for semi-cascade styles I am thinking.
I am interested to see what ideas are provided.

It needs some movement in the trunk - wire it now while it is easier to bend. If you want it to be a much bigger tree than it will have to come out of the bonsai pot. It should only go into a bonsai pot when the trunk is at it's finished size and most of the branching is in place. If you are just starting out get yourself to a bonsai club - Bonsai Society on the Southside and Bimer on the Northside.
