It is now time for me to start thinking of what to do with my large Hawthorn. At the moment I am torn how I am going to progress. I have a lot of options at the moment and have kept a lot of branches. Now is the time to select the correct positions of branches and elect for the next growing season. Also possibly do some carving if I feel game enough.

Looking for some suggestions to make the decision easier.

Man, you have a thing for chunky trees!

Is the olive that is beside the hawthorn on here already? It looks like something I'd like to see more of.

And seeing those big fellas in the massive grow pots in the background. You must either have a strong back, a broken back, or a keen helper.

Lol the pots in the background contain my hops (for beer production).. sure can post the olive but it needs a lot more growth and then a bucket load of carving.. I love the base on it and hence why I kept it. It was a gift from a friend. I do have a soft spot for larger trees..although they take much longer to develop.
