Certainly a tricky one Mick.

I would still keep both trunks as the union is good and would not look so good with one removed. Gerards virt is a good one to aim for, or something similar. Look for the best place to reduce the height, wether by air layer or cut, and start there. Branching can be used to diguise the the space between the trunks if required. I would pick the front with the smaller trunk coming from behind and to the side of the main one.

Mick not being any good at Virtuals, I cannot do one but what Gerard has done is something worth considering.

Craig has asked what the roots are like ?. Try when you are looking at the tree tilting it, it will surprise you how much movement, there is in a straight trunk when it is tilted.
