Somewhere in rural NSW (I think), there is a producer of organic canola (rape) oil. I presume the seed is cold pressed and once the oil is extracted, the remaining meal is sold off to agriculture??
I want a sack of it. Does anyone up there have access to it or know where I can find it? 10 tons would be too much but 50 kg. I could use!

Re: Rape seed cake
I can get soya etc from stock feed suppliers, but not rape. I wanted to try it. I have found the producer: http://www.oilseeds.com.au/meal/
Anyone live in Cootamundra? The trouble with these big producers is they won't ship less than a truckload.

Re: Rape seed cake
I bought 5kg straight out of a silo in colac. They usually sell by the truckload so the guy was quite amused when I asked for just a little bag. It took me a long long time to find it. Can't remember the suppliers name but if im ever down there, I'll stop and ask if they still have it.
I made a paste/porridge out of this and blood and bone mixed with water, then let it ferment in a sealed bucket.. Then formed cakes.

I work at a piggery (in SA, sorry ) and we use it when mixing feed. We used to get it in 25kg bags but now get it by the semi load
