Post by Petra »

hi guy's,
For all interested in where to get Natural zeolite.I came across this site. sales@cmzeolites.com.au
Located at Quirindi NSW 0267463555 .They dig it and bag it. Also big W sells it in the B.B.Q section, under fat absorbers. Brand name is Festiva and comes in a 2kg bag for $5.90. Cheers! :D

Hi Petra,
I get Zeolite from Quirindi. It is a fair way to go, but a nice drive nonetheless. The owners are really nice people, but it is worth checking to make sure they are open when you are going to visit.

Last time Dad and I filled a trailer full to make the trip worthwhile. Bags were then divided up amongst frinds and club members. After three years, I am now nearly at teh end of my supply and will have to make a trip next year. It smells like another group buy opportunity :D
Regards
Steve

I get mine from Ray Nesci who sells Zeolite from CMZ zeolites.

He charges $15 for a bag about 20L which would be cheaper than the BIgW Source you mention. Added bonus is we are supporting a local small business too

ps
Clinton has informed they have ordered a delivery of Diatomite from Mt Sylvia Diatomite, http://www.mtsylviadiatomite.com.au/
He will let me know when it arrives but should be soon and I will post when it is delivered :-)

When I got a new filter for the pool I chased down zeolite from the pool supplies. It was not easy with most saying they get no better results out of the filter. What would they know  It does seem to have alot of benefits as a pool filter I reckon and I am glad I paid the bit extra.
I found a supplier in bathurst and even though it was the 1mm size I got a few extra bags to see if it was any good for bonsai. I thought it was too small but it did make a good top dress. Now I am thinking it will make a great coarse sand for my mixes and I will have to get some more.
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.
