Seasol containing potting mix

Post by Beano »

Hi,

Just posting a general warning about a potting mix I’m currently using in the large pots on my back patio. It’s Richgro containing Seasol potting mix. We have a cream painted cement patio and there seems to be so much seasol in the mix that it stains where the water runs out at the bottom. It has made quite a mess.

Lucky we are having this area tiled soon. I scrubbed it but can’t get it off. The photo is after scrubbing.

*edit* sorry my phone autocorrected the title and I didn’t realise before posting.

Hi Beano
Common household bleach will help. 1 to 1 mix with water, spray on and hose off[a little scrubbing helps]
At least you'll be rid of the worst of it until the tiling.
