Hi All

Here is a unusual tree that i pick up about 6 months ago for $39.00, Cederas Brevifoilia (Cedar of Cyprus) 2 to 4 metres in ten years so the tag says, about a 1 metre tall ATM.

Nice fine foliage grafted onto standard cedar stock, it is quite flexiable so I should be able to put some nice movement into the tree.

Will have fun with this one :D

Hope you all enjoy

Cheers
Chris

Cedars can't do anything wrong for me. They turn me on, so to speak. How big are you thinking of for the eventual tree? Cuttings and air-layers do work with them. I think that I see three trees there in one season by air layering in two places, or even four. The two long branches are cuttings as well. Great glee!
 Sorry. I didn'r realise that it was intended for Literati when I wrote the above. Perhaps only two trees then.

Finally got around to the styling today.

Prior to the start with a little pruning.

Then the main trunk was wired & bent

The 3 branches that are to be used, where wired and placed into postion. no foliage was removed from the top of the tree at this time.

Then I needed to compress the res of the tree to form an apex, at first I left a Jin on, but didnt like it.
