I bought this tree a a small seedling from Ray Nesci in 2001. It was grown in a black pot for a few years and in 2006 it was put into a small (20cm dia crescent pot), at that time it was about 30 cm long and 12cm high. In 2009 it was put in its current pot. The tree is 81cm wide (along the cascade) and 30cm high. It looks a bit messy, but trying to comform it to accepted styles had not worked well. It flowers well and has pale pink flowers with purple berries, there is a small berry at the tip of the semi cascade.

Lynette,
I think your Elaeocarpus reticulatus is STUNNING! Congratulations!
I particularly love the way you have married the container and the plant to form a perfect harmony.
I will be eagerly waiting to see your entries in next year's competition but in my eyes you are a winner already.
Regards
Cathryn
