Reduce URL to a word/words

Hi all,
I am trying to find out how to change a URL to just a word/words. As an example I would like to make http://www.hmrs.org.au/index.html just a word/words, Model Train. This is another one of my hobbies. There are times when I would like to post a link in AusBonsai but it could be quite long.

Any help appreciated.
