Re: English Oak - Need Advice
Amazing, cheers for all of the tips. Lots to take in. I will be sure to sort out the roots early. Will post an update in the future so you can see how it is going. Got a long way to go but I am really looking forward to this one, they are a great looking tree.

I don't suppose anyone could tell me where I could get some English oak acorns from could they. I am desperate to grow some oak trees but they seem hard to find (and prone to death through drying out in Sydney!!!).

Re: English Oak - Need Advice
You should be able to collect acorns under any oak tree at this time of year. Try your local parks for a start. If that does not yield any positive results there are literally millions of acorns on the ground down here at Yackandandah at the moment as about half the street trees are oaks. I'm happy to grab a few and post them if you want to pay the costs of getting them to you.

This made me smile - not just because SueBee is willing to help out.. but the lingo. "Just PM your addy" ... reminds me of my daughters, they shorten everything - even OK get the treatment to.. 'k'SueBee wrote:Hi Archangel, Yep...just PM your addy and I will send you some...
