One of my favorite trees. Simply stunning. Great work
A stick in a pot is better than no stick at all. Remember even the best bonsai started as a stick.

Nice tree Grant, You won't remember me but I visited you way back about 5-6 years ago when I was fully into bonsai.. you sold me a banksia that was great but my neighbour killed it with round up.. love your work.. Im getting back into it so maybe our paths will cross again

My retirement 3 years ago from the job of NBPCA curator has given me more time on my own trees and time to travel to Japan, import pots etc and attend many bonsai activities so yes no doubt we will bump into each other.
Pity about the banksia but few trees and roundup get along. Hope you have got new neighbours.

Unfortunately no.. just a higher fence and relocation of trees.. God I miss that Banksia I got from you...I am suer your trees are far more magnificent now.. would love to come and visit again some time. are you still on the same property with the dam?

Great tree. You took a brave initiative and did that successfully. I am sure that the old tree was already great and not many people could have the gut to trim it down that harsh!
