Elm Projects.

Hi all ,In my early years of Bonsai I went a little crazy and started up way to many projects with Elm roots and finally have potted up several in pots. I know they are not every ones cup of tea but I found them to be a good learning experience. If i can get the ramification like Pup I would be a happy man. Cheers John.

Wow, those are really dramatic . Like how tight you've managed to get the roots onto the rocks Did you follow Shibui's technique

Hi Peter ,I have been wrapping the roots very tightly with clear grafting tape. The wide type 25mm I think . I cut of at repotting time and do it again ,it usually takes 2 or 3 seasons. Just one of many methods ,hope this helps . Regards John.

wow, it looks like someone drained the swamp, and this was what was collected. Not my cup of tea, but it certainly is interesting to look at.

Hi All,
A quick update on several 'drained swamp ' trees. Several had a bit of sooty mould on them ,will give them a good wash with soap flakes soon. Still a while to go but pretty happy so far. Aiming for a more Chinese style. Getting to the stage were I will have to stop growing all my off cuts. Cheers John.
