Hi Buganah.

Baobabs are one of my favourite species, as I grew up with them on the farm.

To begin with, I would plant it out into the ground if you are in a frost free area, or into the largest container you can get. This will be to thicken the trunk, as A digitata are grotesque trees, with a hight of twice the stem thickness in nature. Leave the tree to grow as much branches as possible, this will thicken the stem een more. Any large cut will heal in time and new branches grow easily as well. I have some seed grown plants that got to 5cm diameter in 4 yearsin big deep pots.

Good luck for the growing season!
