Hi this is a branch I cut from an EE while setting an air layer as it was in the way .
Question is will is strike if I soak over night in straight plant starter
Then in morning brush on rooting hormone and wrap with spaghum moss and plant in and orchid mix and keep out of direct light ?
Or is it to thick of a trunk 3cm
Should I cut all branches off to conserve energy to trunk or leave to premote more energy?
Thought it would make a nice shohin in time and did not want to waste it , very nice bark !

Re: Cutting EE
There's never any guarantees with cuttings but as Bodhi says they will strike if you give the right conditions.

Yes, some great character and aged appearance with that trunk.
Worth a shot I reckon.

One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful
