It has taken about 5 years so far to rebuild the apex on this old maple. The apex had died completely, a back branch was lifted to make a new apex and the back of the tree became the new front. Finally it is starting to look like a tree againJapanese maple, back from the dead

Japanese maple, back from the dead

Wouldn't be able to tell if this tree lost its apex. Nice job! Love the pot as well.
