Japanese maple, back from the dead

It has taken about 5 years so far to rebuild the apex on this old maple. The apex had died completely, a back branch was lifted to make a new apex and the back of the tree became the new front. Finally it is starting to look like a tree again

Wouldn't be able to tell if this tree lost its apex. Nice job! Love the pot as well.
