Sickly pomegranate

Hey guys,

I picked up a pomegranate with a trunk as thick as a ring finger. It didn't have much spoil in it's nursery pot, and a shallow small root system about 6cm deep with a diameter of 12cm.
It looks pretty healthy and had about 15 grape sized pomegranate fruits on it.

I re-potted it a few weeks ago and it's been doing terribly since. I picked the fruits off, and for the last two weeks the leaves have been turning yellow and dropping off. Probably lost about 50% of it's leaves now.

Been feeding it with seasol and plant starter and watering every couple of days.

Any advice on what I can do?

Cheers,

Jack

Give it time. Only water when it needs it.
This tree has had a shock and now needs time to recover.

Thanks for your reply Watto.

If it loses all of it's leaves in the coming weeks, do deciduous plants have a solid chance of survival when summer truly hits in less than a month?

Many plants will drop leaves after a trauma like getting too dry or being repotted at the wrong time. That is a survival mechanism. Usually they will grow new buds in a few weeks when they recover.
