Which would be the better front for this jacaranda. I am leaning towards 1.

Don't forget to check the roots first! They may be lacking on the front that looks best above ground. Brush away some soil and reassess the tree in its entirety.

Thanks guys. Yes something to consider. I haven't done much to it yet but trim it a bit. I am hoping the roots grow as per pic.
