Amazing tree's Mike.

My favourite is the EE for some reason.
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Those are some seriously beautiful trees. I find rushing maples leaves lumps and scars so your maples must have been cooked slowly with patient.
Thanks for sharing....an inspiration for me to chase.

I want to swear - but in a good way - if there is such a thing .... so I’ll say: these trees are fbomb’ing fantastic!!

The 1st photo and the last four photos being especially pleasing to my eye. A photo will never do the trident maple forest justice - I have been lucky enough to see that in the flesh and it is staggeringly good.

I have never ever been able to take a good pic of the trident forest. Always looks laterally squeezed. Probably my camera and skills.

One more year of ramification...

This picture from above is one of my favourites. I find it hard to reconcile the fact this is a forest from above - you have to look carefully to see that it is not one tree but over twenty trees!

Brilliant, harmonious ramification that can only come from skill and patience.

Ok - that’s probably enough wind up your behind for one night! :-)

Yep you can prune from now on. All Japanese maples that have just lost leaves or still have some on should be pruned immediately unless you are root pruning as well.

I love this time of year, I get to work on my winter pruning plus I can see how Mike's deciduous are progressing!

I remember that Trident group from last year's AABC convention, although I didn't realise who it belonged to. Really really nice.

Woudn't mind seeing that broom Zelkova too. Hint hint.

Matt.
