Siberian elm

Post by Bradmcd »

Hi, I have just acquired a Siberian Elm and was wondering about the leaf size. I have a few small Chinese elms and as I have been using clip and grow pruning, the leaves are remaining and perhaps getting smaller. Can I expect the same results with the Siberian elm? Can ramification be achieved with the same techniques as with the Chinese elm? Thanks for your help, cheers Brad

Yes the leaves should reduce in size like a Chinese Elm over time. With the correct ramification procedure pretty much most leaves will reduce in size.

Thanks Kirky, I have a few Chinese elms with different leaf size but, the Siberian has leaves a little larger.

I will treat it like a Chinese!

Cheers,
