I was following this post, since 2011 as I also have acquired a Pistacia, then nothing has been posted. Any updates

FYI hawkeyes, I bought a lot of 9 of these from Graeme Parr, on ebay, and when they arrived, (bare rooted,) I thought they were all too long and leggy, so I did the trunk chop and planted both the rooted bit and the cutting. Since then the cuttings have all shot, and none of the root ends have produced a shoot. I'm guessing from that, they don't take to trunk chops well... :lol: :lol:

:bump: It's been a while, wondering how the Chinensis Pistache is going after these years?
I just got one as a christmas gift, in a similar state to the op, It had a second taller trunk above a fork, which I decided to air layer, hopefully will get a few going from the one tree, which has a gentle S curve to the trunk.
