Lilly pilly large cuttings

Post by Beano »

Last year I took a pretty big branch of a crepe myrtle and to my surprise it is still alive. I want to take some larger branches off a Lilly pilly that would be about 5-8cm diameter. Do you think these would succeed as cuttings?

Lilly pilly large cuttings

They all died after about 2 months. I have taken more branches off the crepe though, smuggled to cairns in my suitcase - they had buds in 3 days. One of them is a very thick cutting. They're looking good so far
