Nice one. I have not seen a Lavender Star in bloom before.
Nice tree and pot combo also.

Thanks gents. It's got plenty of buds so I'm looking forward to seeing it covered, but I'm hesitant to leave them all on. If I feed it regularly it should be fine though right? [WHITE SMILING FACE]️

I tend to remove flowers after a few days, I end up with a longer flowering period vs shorter with more blooms

Re: Lavender star in bloom
Just nip them off as soon as they are past their absolute best - usually after a thorough overhead watering in my case

What a little ripper. As others have said, if you nip the flowers off as soon as they reach their peek you will be rewarded with a longer, stronger flowering period.

Re: Lavender star in bloom
Looking good Baba! I love this color. Hope I will get one some day.
I have here grewia that flowers white in the bush, and the flowers are a bit bigger. I dug some trees from the bush and was so surprised to discover that they are grewia after they flowered.
Now I went and dug some more and some huge ones. and they are doing well.
This is the flower on mine.

Re: Lavender star in bloom
Going back to the lavender star, you've got a lovely looking tree there. Can anyone tell me how to get a full blooming tree rather then long intermittent periods of flowering were individual flowers come and go.

Re: Lavender star in bloom
I've got one growing on in a big pot. When I trim and replant it, it does that. Next year it flowers better and the year after that it goes bonkers all year long. I think it just needs time to settle itself. They love to flower....

Re: Lavender star in bloom
Vic they are all doing fine, easy to transplant, ...grow like crazy, flower very easily. Good material as bonsai just the internodes need to be controlled. They are long.
