My only olive

Post by wattynine »

and a Europa I think is what it is.
I bought this under severe doubt of my abilities to do anything with it, proved in the early days to be pretty true, they do get very leggy in our climate, anyway I chucked it in the ground for around 18 months and got some base to it. I has been in this pot for around three years, I think it need to go back into a BIG pot and see what it dose, too ordinary for me at the mo', though it's just starting to get some base width and gnarly bark down low that I like and a nice little peek at some dead wood on the trunk as well.

Suggest you get some wire on the upper trunk to get a curve into it. As it thickens it will detract from the nice shape you are creating and all you will see will be that straight section.
