Serissa under attack..

Post by boom64 »

Hi all,
Looking for some help in regard to a batch of Serissa cuttings that I have.
Checking them today and found a huge number of branches had been stripped and trunks had also been stripped of bark.
Pictures below, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rats like nibbling the bark of some plants. Not sure if they can rip branches off.

Just checked with spouse, denies any involvement. Will work on the other two options.... Cheers John

It almost looks like the damage cockatoos can do - any of them about? Rats will eat bark, but not tear branches off, that I know.

Thanks guys, on further inspection found what appears to be rat poo. They must love Serissa as i have two batches of cuttings in different parts of the garden and they have attacked both and left everything else alone. Cheers John
