Black Pine 23yr approx

Post by anthonyW »

Hi guys this is a progression of a pine I would build on from the previous owner unfortunately lost my pics a season or two before 2012 pics here, basically all the structure was there front and back as skinny as was the back was I would build from there after health was established the pads were cleaned up dramatically as everything was crossed, the top was compressed to bring over centre(sorry no pic basically it was much straighter and left of centre) a back brace was held in place just in case of tear or break(ugly but effective).,thanks for looking.

Thanks Literati79,top of the pot to apex about 450 to 460mm high and the widest part down low about 430mm wide.
The pot is just a run of the mill chinese pot,but I think the right size.

On a another note nice to see Australian potters being supported for Aussie natives they suit very well.

cheers Anthony

A perfect size really. I agree, the size of the pot and the pot itself suit the tree.

I do like Australian pottery myself. I have a couple of crescent moon pots from Mudlark that I love and will definitely be getting more. I just wish there were a few more larger pots since I like the larger trees.

Hi there, our tree has moved along abit with a more roundish head and also I have brought the growth down more top right- ish/and below and all pads have more round /roll on them no biggie there just my thing as against dead flat, every body to there own there, it is now heavly ramified and i have broken the middle left pad into two, I will attack the tree in January about 2 weeks in or about in my temperate zone...cheers

Crap pine... you should be ashamed of yourself. :o ;)
In all seriousness, decandling later makes sense given your location. Would love to see it after you do, always get a better view of structure when the bones are bare! Looks mighty fine from where I’m viewing it at the minute though. Love your work...
