Atlantic Cedar with sacrificial branches

Post by adge0001 »

Here is an Atlantic Cedar. This was purchased, and has been previously worked on by Tien and John, from Bonsai sensation a few years ago.

During that time I have wired the upper branches and let the sacrificial branches grow and thicken the trunk. Circumference is about 4cm at a point before the nebari. After this growing season, the sacrifice branches will be removed and fine ratification will begin.

great example of what sacrifice branches can achieve.
Pity about all the crisscrossing wire marks on the trunk though.
