Noelander tree re-style!

Post by iliya »

Last year I had the opportunity to do a workshop with Marc Noelanders at the Tops weekend,
My material for the workshop was this 20+ year old juniper....
Well after the workshop I wasn't entirely happy with the tree, Don't get me wrong the tree was on its
way to becoming a great tree.... it just wasn't my style.
It was restyled about 6 months ago and im keen to know your thoughts... the good, the bad and the ugly!

Good;

I like the new angle and the root spread is much better.

So, So;

Pads have lost some attractiveness by being too dense.

Fixes;

Thin out pads; pull down left hand lowest branch and put more shape and movement into the apex.

Here is an update on this one after a clean up and repot.

I plan on fine wiring this one over the coming weeks and cleaning up the shari line.

Clearly you're super proud of your tree and so you should be! It's a well produced video and shows the progression well ... Gotta love your inclusion @ 1:00, just shows you have a good sense of humour! :tu:
Really like the new pot too.
Thanks for sharing.
