Juniper - 'not suitable for bonsai'

I have seen Juniper Sabina in books and it is talked about as worthy by many bonsaists so don't worry about the comments mate!

Hi Jason,
Mate do not get to concerned about negative or misleading comments. If you can see something in it do it the old saying goes 'can't see the tree for the forest'. Check out the species as bonsais and go from there. I think your on the right track, development with junis can be slow and rewarding process, keep going looking good.

Ps Jason,
Adult and juvenile foliage are common at the same time and mature foliage will eventually take over. If you do heavy pruning juvenile foliage will come through and will mature, alls good!!!!

Check out Graham Potter's vids on youtube. He has done some work on a couple of Sabina's. I reckon they are pretty good stock to play with.

I went from being so bummed about this tree and ready to push it to the back of the bench to be forgotten, to now being quite chuffed with the potential in it. Its kind of lighted a stubborn fire under me now, where I'm bit determined to turn it into a great bonsai
