Undoubtedly one of my favourite threads on this site... That "birds eye view" pic posted above (and the others for that matter) are a great learning tool. Quality work.

Hey Miyagiman, we're still waiting for your refinement technique....

Ryceman3 referenced this thread in a recent post; really interesting. Thanks for pointing it out R3

The birds eye view of the tree is certainly excellent. As usual on this forum - this tree - even with its reverse taper - is better than anything I have. Yet again I am green with envy.

It looks like we never did get Miyagiman's technique but any update on the tree would be great and appreciated.

Cheers,

Mark

PS - That bird's eye view reminds me of a photo of one of Treeman's bonsai that I took at this year's Yarra Valley Bonsai Show.

It's hard to believe this is a trident Maple forest of some 25 trees from memory. Quite brilliant :imo:

PPS - Please note - I am not meaning to hijack this thread with another photo - more hoping to prompt an update of the Radiata Pine that started the discussion.

Miyagiman hasn't been on here for 18 months. I wonder if he can hear us crying out for an update?
