Shimpaku Juniper Semi Cascade

Got to work on my first cascade styled tree today.
Thinned out the branches and started forming the pads.
I'm really happy with the results.
Not sure about the little branch on the top right though. May end up getting rid of it.
Stock was from Bonsai World, Jilliby for $16

From the lowest point on the tree to the highest it is 150mm. Does this class as a shohin?

Got some good cuttings from this.
Plant to use them to do a formal upright forest

Good luck with those cuttings Ben but, as they always say, don't count your trees before they have roots.
I think you have left far too much foliage on the cuttings but let's wait and see how they go.

Not counting, just planning.
It's my first time taking cuttings so if they don't survive I'm not too worried.

I didn't know I had to take foliage off the cuttings?

Decided to repot this little guy.
I did this without much thought or research and later found out I did it at the wrong time.
fingers crossed it survives.

Good start. Junipers are pretty hardy so fingers crossed the repot is ok.

They like foliage misting so try and spray as much as you can.

Is there such a thing as too much misting during spring/summer and would you discontinue autumn/winter?
