A whole lot of quality time with a Juniper Squamata...

I first styled this tree just over two years ago, and it went into a sulk for months. Slow burn has been the key, and I have been focusing on making it as heathy as possible.

This morning, at around 6:00, I felt the time was right to get creative...

Eight happy hours later and think I'm done!
Eventually it will get a smaller and more suitable pot, and I will either angle the tree more to the right, or compress the bends in the trunk to bring the crown down lower...dunno yet. No hurry!
For now, I'm going to sit back and enjoy the tree!

I like the open texture and light feel, well done. The trunk for me goes up, the sideways, then down - maybe consider leaning it over to the left, and stretching out the "top" of the trunk further over to the left, so that it more or less heads in the one direction.

Just something to think about over the next year or two.

The trunk definitely needs recombobulating, and I like the idea of stretching it out, but this one's got previous for sulking after any work, so I'll be leaving well alone for a good long while yet...
Thankfully there are a good few other trees to tinker with in the meantime ;@}

There are two straight sections that are verticle almost at 90 degrees. The shape of the trunk doesn't look right. I think an angle change is needed - try some wedge pieces underneath the pot.

The tree looks healthy - I like the branches and negative space between them.

I found the perfect pot for this one.
It's by Fionna Burgess from New Zealand and the finish and quality are top class!
The new angle makes sense of the angles in the trunk.
I'll let it settle for a while before I start repositionig the foliage pads.
