Cascade Juniperus squmata

Post by hugh grant »

Squmata has to one of the easiest trees to develop into good trees and in relatively quick timing too. Ive been developing this tree for about 2.5 years from raw nursery stock. Its sits at about 30cm high from lowest to highest point of the composition. On the hunt for a smaller pot ...

Squamatas in their natural form are a favourite of mine.

I really like this tree Hugh. Nice movement and the tree descends nicely, with the shari complimenting the trunk nicely.

I do find the jin distracting and root that is up in the air above the soil bothers me a little bit too.

Cheers,
Mojo

Very nice Hugh. I particularly like the way you made the bottom branch thrust out confidently. Too often I see cascades where the bottom half dangles down looking sad. Yours is growing out into the sun, full of vigour.

Great job Hugh. I quite like the Jin to set it apart from the others, although the root does distract me. Looking forward to seeing the change of pot once it occurs.

Cheers,
Pearcy.

The root will be removed in time is just a process of taking the roots off once its been turned on its side into a cascade, this is the last root.

No lazy styling here, clean and clear design i wanted to exhibit with this tree.

As for the jin, i can see it as a good tree with and without, while its there I think it best to make use of it, its an interesting piece of timber :)
