This was put together today as a request from my wife . I sold off the rest of my Phoenix grafts so this was a quick replacement . The trunk is juniper prostrata and the foliage is Shimpaku .
Cheers Ian
The trunk was pressure washed , trimmed , grooved and lime sulphured several days ago.A quick trim of the rear foliage on the juniper then wrapped with glad wrap so as to insert into the hollow of the trunk With the aid of a few screws and cable ties it was placed into the grooved sectioned , secured and wired . I'm sure my wife will love it . Phoenix Graft - Tanuki

I love it Ian, thanks.
It is great to see the process involved with this side of the art.
If i could ask, what is the deadwood?

Hi Steve_B , mate the deadwood is Juniperus x media - Prostata , needle juniper . It was dead when collected a few years ago allowed to dry and the pressure washed to removed the bark
Hi Rintar , the Wife absolutely loved it .Being a layered juniper it should take off in the large pot .
Thanks Guys . Ian
