This was a cutting taken about 3 years ago and wired from day 1 with an extreme rotation at the base .

It was ground grown for 1 year and potted into the planter bag this spring along with the rest of the growing stock that I sold .This is 1 of the last trunks left here from my final grow bed trial . I have wired the leaders to suit the lower trunk

and set 3 layers to complete its workout .I could have removed the lower straight branches and trimmed it up the whole trunk for a little shohin but why waste material .

When the layers are removed it will be at least 10-20 % bigger , although the main trunk will only be 10-15 cm high or i could grow it on , continue the wiring and thickening and end up with a much larger trunk and tree.

Cheers . Ian
