Shimpaku ROR autumn tidy up

Post by Matt S »

I’ve started tidying up my junipers. It’s been a really mild autumn in Adelaide and a lot of my trees are still growing strongly but a recent spate of cold nights has finally put the brakes on a few species.

This Shimpaku was bought from Shibui as one of a bunch of seedlings back in 2016, all of which were twisted into interesting shapes and left to grow on. It was planted on this rock in 2018 and put in the pot in 2021.

As with most of my junipers, it’s taken back hard in late winter, left untouched over spring, given a light trim in summer and then tidied up in autumn.
