SEQ plantation pine species?

Whats the main species of pine used in the SEQ plantations? More specific the plantations at the southern end of the sunny coast. I always thought they were radiata but more recently i was told they are nigra. Does anyone know?

Pinus Jefferyi, the Slash pine as far as I know and emminently suitable for bonsai

If it helps with the id i can get pics of the bark, also the needles are arranged in groups of 2 and 3

Grant is right. They are the Slash pine.
