green leaf version

Hi All,

Can anyone think of a green leaf version of either

Prunus x blireana
or
Prunus Nigara

Flowering in spring / reliable autumn colour.

Not technically for bonsai in this particular instance

Prunus 'Elvins' is an ornamental flowering plum with green leaves. It also produces many more flowers than most of the other trees used as ornamental plums.
Prunus cerasifera is another species, often referred to as 'cherry plum' because of the smaller yellow fruit. It is probably the original species for most of the green leaf ornamental flowering plums. P. cerasifera is supposed to be one of the parents of P. x blireana

Both cerasifera and nigra can be weedy in many areas as birds transport the seeds and they are tough enough to survive without additional care. There are thousands of them growing along roadsides up here.

Thanks for that i was looking a prunus elvins just wasnt sure
how this might do in metro perth over summer? not sure of size aswell

does it colour of autumn?

I know nigara is almost industructable like you were saying its likely why its so common here. Doesnt seem to change colour over autumn its basically red over summer to losing leaves. Does put a nice display on in spring however

Plums are not really noted for great autumn color. I think they just go a bit yellow or brown.
