Gardenia

Post by alpineart »

These along with 2 others where collected from Karen Parents place . The purchased the property new , 8 years ago and these were around 300mm high .They have decided to replace the garden with a native landscape so i was given these . A quick hack and chop on collection

and a further hack today has produced these 2 trunks
P1090135.JPG
P1090140.JPG
.They are planted in large 400mm cube pots and thrown out the front on the steps with thw other 2 as collected trunks

. If they survive i will take the steps necessary to pot them into bonsai trays or pots .
They were labled as Radicans , but at 1.5 m on collection they were obviously mis-labelled , no matter they are potted and slotted into the landscape for now .

The third one has definite potential but I'm sure in your hands they will all be transformed!

Hi Isitangus , mate pics 1-3 are from shrub to pre bonsai trunk , pics 2-4 are the same after a hack and chop . The 2 in the blue pots were potted up yesterday they will get a pre style later on , if Karen lets me get my hands back on them .

Well 4 years down the track and these were removed from the garden pots and into bonsai pots .

I think they have potential as bonsai , if not the wife wants them back .
