Peach tree

Post by matlea »

Hi all, thought I'd start a post on this peach tree I have.
It was dug ....saved :) from the road side a couple of years ago due to some planned road widening. Before this I used to drive past it and admire it as it would put out these deep red flowers. (Strangely the flowers it put out last year were more of a pink colour?? Different ground conditions? lost!?)
I've attempted a few thread grafts on it to get some better branch placement and to fill, hopefully in a couple of seasons these will take.

This is a very quick vert of were I'm thinking of taking it.

Still a way to go!

Yes,

Still a way to go but your vision doesn't appear to be too far fetched!

Keep us posted!

Would love to see a peach on it!
I'm a big fan of fruit and flowering tree's.
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Your tree has nice movement and with a developing branch structure the future looks bright. I too am a fan of flowering and fruiting bonsai so I would appreciate if you could continue to show us its progression.
PS - nice grow box!!!
